The difference between the gen2 TracOne and the gen3 is the gen2 TracOne comes with plastic tie downs and the gen3 has new gen3 aluminum load stops. The gen3 racks have a wider 20mm slot, which is compatible with Thule accessories that use the wider 20mm slot. Please note the older gen12 load stops are not compatible with the gen3 rack and vice versa.
This rack comes fully assembled, saving you over an hour of assembly time and money.
The rack weighs less than 50 pounds and features an 800 pound capacity. The no-rust aluminum construction with dual-stage powder coating resists wear and matches the finish quality of your truck. Installing (no drilling into Truck Bed), or removing, the rack is easy via the included single axis clamps and takes just minutes.
The rack comes complete with Tracrac C clamps, rubber pads for the feet and 4 adjustable aluminum load stops. Please note some trucks, such as newer model Toyota Tacomas with the integrated cargo management system, require a separate adapter available which I have. You can also buy these on-line for $100, but I only charge $25 when substituting these for the C clamps. There are two versions of these adapters, so when you reply to the ad, please let me know the year of your Tacoma.
Some small truck users, think the TracOne is too high over the cab, so I will customize the height of the TracOne, on any vehicle for $50.
