A very original example that has been stored in a dry barn for many years. This Spitfire has recently received several mechanical updates, including a new muffler assembly, fuel pump and sending unit, master cylinder with reservoir, tune-up components, and brand-new tires. Top was recently replaced and fits perfect.
The body is rust-free with almost all original factory paint so faded and some checking/cracking on some panels. The undercarriage is very solid. The glass in car is extremely good. Interior is good, dash is cracked from sun, but steering wheel is near perfect. Carpet is new. The car starts easily, shifts smoothly.
It could use some odds and ends, but overall, it’s a good, honest future classic offered at an excellent asking price.
