1992 Epiphone Sheraton II
Other than string changes, this is bone stock, and for its age and use is in great condition. Original pick guard not installed but included with the sale as is the OHSC.
This is one of the last years they were made at the old Samick factory in Korea which was known for the number of high quality guitars they were producing at the time. One of the reasons I’ve kept it all these years, despite not playing it as much as my other guitars, is the humbucker tone. It’s an absolute mystery as to what the specs are, they didn’t keep records of those details, but they just sound so good. They just have a little vintage-y sweetness to them. It absolutely does not sound like the fresh new ones hanging on the wall at Guitar Center. I’ve played them, they sound and feel different, and not my preference.
This one records very well too, makes for a good studio tool.
