I fabricated this shelf to hold my Rabbit Ears TV antenna in the window at my last apartment.
There is only a sliding door in the living room in my new apartment.
The width (length) of the shelf is 31.5“
The curved shelf is 7“ deep at its widest (the center).
The shelf is white semi-gloss.
The outside width of the mounting brackets is 28.75“ wide. This dimensions can be set up to 30.5“ wide or any smaller, narrower width. The brackets are on the bottom of the shelf so they are pretty much out of eyesight. They can be moved with a little effort.
The mounting brackets are aluminum, so they are lightweight and have a little give making mounting easier.
The wood is also lightweight allowing simple and safe window mounting.
The shelf looks great.
It took a few hours to make. Cutting the wood and sanding it down to a perfect curve. I bought an aluminum bar and cut down the pieces to make the mounting bracket.
If you think this would work well in your TV room window and you’re interested, please don’t slap me in the face with a crazy low offer. It’s one-of-a-kind and took a few hours to make.
