Ge & Automion Service Technician (Commercial & Residential) Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Service and repair a variety of automed ge systems, including slide, swing, cantilever, vertical lift, barrier arm, and crash-red ges
• Troubleshoot and repair operors, motors, control boards, safety loops, photo eyes, keypads, intercoms, and access control devices
• Perform preventive maintenance, scheduled service, and emergency repairs as needed
• Maintain and repair high-security and crash-red ge equipment, including heavy-duty mechanical and hydraulic components
• Support system installions and upgrades as the division expands

Ge & Automion Service Technician (Commercial & Residential) Requirements & Qualificions

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with automed ge systems
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities
• Solid electrical skills, including low voltage and basic 120V/240V knowledge
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manufacturer technical documention
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Willingness to participe in an on-call rotion for afterhours and weekend service
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screening (including marijuana)
• Comfortable working independently in the field

Ge & Automion Service Technician (Commercial & Residential) Preferred Background & Skills

• Familiarity with brands such as LiftMaster, Doorking, HySecurity, FAAC, Nice, Viking, or Linear
• Understanding of UL 325 compliance requirements
• Experience in commercial, HOA, industrial, or high-security ge environments
• Exposure to access control and telephone entry systems
• Welding or fabricion skills a plus
