Premier Fence is currently seeking a Fleet & Field Operations Manager who is capable of meeting our organizational requirements. This is a management position that reports to the President and Ownership.

Responsibilities:

Oversee assigned fleet's operations and make direct reports on fleet performance and other operational requirements.

Research and purchase replacement or additions for the fleet including vehicles, equipment and small tools.

Ensuring that all equipment, vehicles and tools are ready and working as needed. This involves ensuring the completion of the necessary repair and maintenance daily to realize the company goal of 0% down time.

Ensure completion of work orders and daily inspections

Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking vehicles.

Providing training to employees on equipment maintenance and vehicle operations.

Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.

Obtain and maintain vehicle and equipment licensing, registrations, inspections and permits.

Oversee proper use of fuel rations; maintain log and account for fuel.

Oversee proper maintenance of parts and other consumables' inventory, research parts availability and costing and approve the issuance of purchase orders

Interview and recommend hiring of field staff including drivers, operators and installers.

Develop, maintain and ensure adherence to disciplinary procedures and employee orientation program

Make, advise and/or provide recommendations to Management, on training, annual leave or off-days, scheduling, reprimanding, hiring, and termination of recalcitrant employees

Identifying and coordinating major repairs and maintenance with Managers.

Maintaining a safe and orderly work environment in the Shop, Yard and Jobsites.


Requirements:

Prior experience with Fleet Management / Operations
Superior Communication Skills
Prior Mechanical Experience is a strong plus.
Must have valid driver's license. CDL is a plus.
Hoisting License is a Plus.
