Beautiful, fully furnished single-family home for one person on beach and Red Line
$2,700 includes utilities and free EV charging
On paper this is a "house share" although we live elsewhere and only stop by for maintenance now and then (typically some Fridays).
• Rent includes full use of the home for one individual, and a house cleaner visits every other week.
• We do yard work, minor repairs, shoveling, etc.
• We leave our car there when we travel.
The ideal tenant will be here at least a year, although we may consider shorter term.
The fully furnished home includes:
• Living room with fireplace
• Dining room with window seat
• Recently refinished hardwood floors throughout
• 1.5 baths
• Full kitchen
• Large front porch with swing
• Back deck with grill
• Fully fenced yard with access via dog door
• Bedroom (10’ x 10’)
• Guest room (available for out-of-town guests; no other roommates please)
• All new windows in 2024
• New Electrolux washer and dryer
Rent includes:
• Bi-weekly cleaning service
• Heat and a/c (mini-splits plus central heating for colder days)
• Electric
• Internet
• Washer/dryer (shared with basement studio with separate entrance, although he primarily lives elsewhere)
• Off-street parking including level 2 EV charger
• For comparison purposes, we pay more than $700 per month for utilities and housecleaning.
Plus:
• Less than a block to the beach
• Short walk to North Quincy Red Line Station
• Non-smoking home
• Pets considered with references; there is a built-in litter box compartment and a large dog door to the fenced yard.
The fine print:
• The bedroom room is 10x10 with two windows, a decent-sized closet, and a double bed. You may also use the closet in the guest room.
• The house is fully furnished, and there is not room for storage or more furniture.
• If you think this may be a good fit for you, we'll send an application. References are required.
• The studio apartment in the basement (separate entrance) has a tenant that primarily lives elsewhere (his boat in the summer, Florida in the winter).
• First and last month's rent are required to move in, and preference goes to the person who expects to be here longest. After the first year's lease expires, we request two calendar months' notice if you need to move.
