condition: fair
size / dimensions: Any

Hi, I'm searching for old vacuum tubes that were used in radios, amplifiers and stereos. I need them for my home-made electronics & amplifier projects. All sized lots are welcome, large to small. Have a basement full? Perfect. A shoebox full? Sounds good to me. If you include a phone number in your reply I will call. Name your price or we can negotiate upon meeting.

I'm also looking for stereo or mono amps and receivers (tube or solid state), 1950's-1960's record players (including portable units and large console types), old PA amps, reel to reel (R2R) players, speakers (any size/impedance), microphones & vintage parts/components such as: potentiometers, capacitors, resistors, terminal strips, tube sockets, knobs, chassis', transformers, switches, jacks, wire, solder, and phenolic boards. Test equipment, tube testers and soldering irons wanted as well. Broken, semi-functional and junk items are welcome. If you have a tube based electric organ that you want to rid yourself of I'd like to take a look at it. Basically I'm searching for anything that I can use to build DIY instrument/vocal/harp amps and/or stereos and speaker cabinets from - plus any associated test equipment that I can repair and put to use. I always e-Cycle whatever parts I can't use or items that I can't fix, or I might pass some of the stuff along to my friends and/or resell on eBay.

If you have an exceptionally large collection I'd be happy to meet and provide a fair assessment - at no charge. I'll either make a competitive offer, or if it's more than I can handle, I'll provide you with the contact information for some MA based electronics resellers who specialize in high volume estate cleanouts.

By the way - if you need maintenance or setups performed on your guitar and/or bass I've been repairing/building instruments for 15+ years. I was taught proper setup techniques by a NYC based luthier that was recently featured in StewMac's video series. I also offer basic repair services for tube and solid state amps (i.e. cleaning, recaps, troubleshooting, etc...). However, I do not repair AM/FM tuners or recone speakers. Competitive rates and no "bench fee" (which is a ridiculous concept). Depending on the project, I may be willing to work in trade for the aforementioned parts or other musical gear. I also build, mod and repair effects pedals.

Thanks for your help and for reading the entire post. I look forward to hearing from you.
