Three brothers John, Charles, and Richard T. Buck emigrated from Sheffield, England, where they worked as apprentices under their father, who also worked under his father, (the boy's grandfather) at the very well know Newbould Edge Tool Factory.
In 1853 they officially became the Buck Brothers and set up shop making edged tools out of the Junction Shop on Southbridge Street in Worcester.
