Meals on Wheels Drivers deliver nutritious meals to seniors Monday - Friday. As a Meals on Wheels Driver you will do much more than deliver a meal -- your friendly and meaningful contact will brighten the lives of seniors in Woburn. Drivers often report health and well-being concerns before they can become a crisis. You will see many smiling, grateful faces on your route!


Meals on Wheels Drivers are responsible for ensuring that nutritious meals are delivered to elder and disabled adults in Woburn, and building relationships with these consumers to ensure they are well and safe.

  • Report to the Woburn Council on Aging at 144 School Street. Be sure you have the correct number of meals and verify your delivery route.
  • Deliver meals to homebound seniors and disabled adults in Woburn. Assist with setting up meals as needed (opening cartons, cutting meat, etc.)
  • Make sure that temperature of food is maintained. Return equipment to the Woburn Council on Aging and clean out materials.
  • Notify the Dining Coordinator on your return and report on any consumer concerns.
  • Distribute menus to consumers monthly. Deliver special notices when needed.

  • Current driver's license, reliable car, and private automobile insurance coverage.
  • A willingness to drive in inclement weather, including snow..
  • Ability to lift bags/coolers weighing a maximum of 35 lbs.
  • Must be sensitive to the needs of older and disabled adults.

Monday - Friday 11:00AM - 1:00PM (10 hours per week)

We help them make informed decisions and get easy access to the help needed that fits within their means. Many of our services are free of charge; others are available on a sliding fee or private pay basis.
