“One of a kind” Taylor 912 in Brazilian rosewood. Serial number 7033, built when Taylor was in Santee, CA. I sat down with Bob Taylor at the NAMM show in Atlanta (1988?), and had this guitar built to order to my specifications. The back and side are increasingly rare Brazilian rosewood. The guitar has a new AAA grade Engelman Spruce top with beautiful grain and silking. The top was installed by Pat DiBurro in April, 2022. The guitar is a non-cutaway 912, with pre-Cindy inlay, rosewood binding, abalone rosette, tri-color rosette border, tri-color back strip, mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard. Original hard case. This is an exemplary example of Taylor’s early craftsmanship.
