Maintain the hotel rooms to meet and exceed the company standard.

Essential Elements:

Regular and punctual attendance.
Ability to push / pull carts weighing approximately 75 - 100 pounds.
Ability to lift and move approximately 60 pounds.
Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb and reach continuously.
Ability to perform tasks requiring sustained repetitive motion (for example: dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, etc.).
Ability to move freely within the hotel.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to hear guest voices through a closed door.
Ability to operate housekeeping equipment (for example: vacuum).
Ability to interact with guests and other employees in a courteous, empathetic and discreet manner.
Ability to work with chemicals (for example: cleaners, disinfectants and solvents) and prolonged exposures to water.
Ability to understand and execute all safety and emergency procedures (for example: fire, crowd control, inclement weather, bomb threats, etc.).
Ability to direct or escort guests to facilities/functions in hotel.
Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to anticipate guests' needs, resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction and maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Job Tasks:

Follows assignment sheets.
Cleans guest rooms in an appropriate and thorough manner.
Maintains cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas.
Provides a safe environment for both guests and employees.
Enters guest rooms in an appropriate manner.
Communicates any problems to maintenance.
Stocks housekeeping cart.
Utilizes supplies and chemicals in a safe and appropriate manner to clean guest rooms.
Obeys "Do Not Disturb" and Privacy signs.
Collects and disposes of trash.
Handles dirty and clean linen in a safe and appropriate manner.
Works with and keeps lines of communication open between all employees to provide a smooth running operation.
Directs guests within the hotel; assists guests by directing them to appropriate staff.
Assist Executive Housekeeper and/or Housekeeping Supervisor with additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:

Assist guests in every possible way when special requests occur.
Ability to work on multiple projects and execute with a high level of quality and accuracy
Ability and desire to adapt quickly to change.
Manage time effectively and prioritize for results
Resourceful, flexible and creative in solving problems
Ability and desire to adapt quickly to change.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
Ability to work a varied & flexible schedule understanding that the hotel is operating 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year including weekends and holidays.
