We are proud to provide 20 community residences in Lawrence, Methuen, Haverhill, Georgetown and Andover along with many specialized services across 68 cities and towns in Northeastern Massachusetts. Our goal is to help children, teens and adults with disabilities such as autism and Down syndrome to live a rich and meaningful life.
This newly added role will support the Residential Nursing staff in the provision of systematic, compassionate and skilled care to the individuals served by the Residential Services division.
SCHEDULE FOR THIS POSITION: Monday-Friday, Flexible Hours + On-call one weekend every 6 weeks (40 Hours Per Week)
•Hire and train assigned nurses in all aspects of their job
•Monitor and support the performance of assigned residential nurses
•Facilitate communication between staff, Program Directors and Nurses
•Clinical oversight of individual medical conditions
•Periodic monitoring of medical records and health practices in residential homes
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
•Weekly meeting with VP of Health Services and Nurse Liaison
•Function as the consulting nurse for one or more residential homes
•On-call one weekend every 6 weeks
•Participate as a member of the Residential Management Team
•Periodic review and revision of medical policies and nursing policies and procedures
•Act as nurse liaison in the absence of that person
•Current Massachusetts RN license
•Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
•Must have 2 years experience with supervisory
•Must have 5 years experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disability
•Valid driver's license.
