Spyropoulos: Greek Black Wine Decanter, Pitcher, Carafe - Vintage Porcelain, Hand Made in Greece with 24K Gold Trim.
This is a wonderful piece of unique ceramic pottery made in Greece with fabulous detailing of Greek Gods and figures. Many gold rings and artful patterns around base of carafe. This amazing Grecian style wine decanter is 10"inches tall and 4-1/2" across at handle. The trim on the black porcelain is slathered in 24K gold. This is in pristine condition. No marks, chips, dings. Handle is perfect as is the spout. The glaze is a nice shiny black which reflects light like a mirror. See pictures for details. Unknown age, guessing 1950s/1960s when these souvenirs were popular. Materials: porcelain, black glaze, 24K Gold, ceramic. I love to hand pick antiques for re-purposed use in divination and ritual. This porcelain wine decanter is perfect for the altar - rather than those commercial wine bottles. A wonderful gift for the classical reconstructionist in your life.
