A chronology of the life of Christ written in the 19th century.
Three Hundred and sixty-five compositions from the four gospels with notes and explanatory drawings.
Beautifully and profusely Illustrated and decorated on nearly every page, mostly in color. Many full and 1/2 page Chromo-lithographs. These colored illustrations are some of the most awe inspiring and even sometimes emotionally disturbing religious artworks reflecting the life of Christ.
The text is mostly parallel Latin and English. It includes some of the apocryphal gospel writings. By J. James Tissot - 10 3/4" x 13 1/4" x 1 3/8"
Page quality is good throughout the book and they are still mostly supple and clean.
