Custom Built Lifestyle bike. Super lightweight with attitude to spare. Tons of time spent polishing this one.
Flat bars, flat pedals. Hop on and go.
Size Med ~ 53, 700C wheel
Based on a 1974 Raleigh Supercourse II
Emerald green with white accents. Patina it took 50 years to develop. Nicks, scratches, gouges, etc.
Shiny chrome tips

Got 6 forward gears. Ride it like a single speed, shift way less than trigger style. You dance on the pedals and make torque. Cockpit is neat and clean with a thin welded and polished stainless 1" quill.

Lotsa trail. (tire contact behind where fork is pointing) The bike want's to track straight. Great for no hands riding, steer with a bit of body english.

***700C wheels*** This era commonly came with 27" wheels. This one is converted to 700C
There are many more tire options for 700c than 27"
The frame looks like it has clearance for a 32 tire
Reynolds 531 Handmade in England
Bottom bracket and fork rethreaded
Cartridge bottom bracket, standard BB threading, Square Taper
FSA Cartridge Headset
Shimano 600 Arabesque Crank, 39 ring
Simplex chromed friction shifter, downtube. Shimano Altus RD
Normandie High flange hubs, new 6 speed freewheel, chain
Mavic double wall eyeletted rims
Michelin 700x28 tires
Weinman Caliper U brakes with MTB pads. These stop very well and the pads are adjustable angle type

Stripped down to frame. All components disassembled, cleaned, lubed, adjusted, polished.

I ride this one frequently. It's tons of fun and draws a lot of attention. Very light, tight, accelerates PDQ. It's a sleepah.

On the off chance you have a modern mountainbike you're interested in trading +/-$$ let's talk. Not looking for a POS. Willing to pay $$ for the right bike as in Ibis, etc. XC-light trail.
