This is a rare opportunity to work directly with an experienced financial advisor, learn the business from the inside, help lead and grow an existing practice, and ultimately become part of a long-term succession plan without having to buy a book of business.
This is NOT a cold-calling, “dial for dollars” or pure commission sales job.
There is no lead generation requirement, no boiler room environment, and no pressure to constantly chase strangers for business. The primary focus is serving existing clients properly, proactively engaging with them, exceeding expectations, and building long-term trusted relationships. Internal growth opportunities naturally follow from doing that job well.
The right candidate will learn:
- Financial planning software
- Client relationship management
- Retirement & insurance planning concepts
- Business operations
- Leadership & practice management
- Fiduciary client service
This is an entrepreneurial opportunity with a meaningful head start:
- Existing book of business
- Existing infrastructure
- Existing clients
- Mentorship and training
- Leadership opportunity early on
The ideal candidate may already hold:
- Series 65 or 66
- Life & health insurance licenses
- CFP or other financial designation
However, for the right person, experience and licensing requirements can be flexible if there is clear commitment, strong work ethic, emotional intelligence, professionalism, and a realistic plan to grow into the role with a clear and reasonable goal date to become fully licensed.
This is not a traditional corporate salary position where you spend years waiting for someone else to give you an opportunity. There is a modest starting stipend while learning the business, but the long-term opportunity is far bigger: the ability to help lead, grow, and eventually run an existing financial planning practice with an established client base already in place.
For the right person, this creates a rare path toward independence, leadership, meaningful income potential, and the ability to build a business of your own without starting from scratch or having to buy a book of business outright. The more value you help create, the more opportunity there is to grow alongside it.
Ideal traits:
- Emotional intelligence
- Strong ethics and honesty
- Proven work ethic
- Professionalism
- Self-discipline
- Genuine desire to help people
- Leadership potential
- Strong communication skills
Possible good fit candidates:
- Moms returning to the workforce
- Entry-level candidates pursuing financial planning
- Financial professionals stuck beneath a ceiling
- Advisors who want relationship-focused work instead of high-pressure sales
- Natural leaders looking for real opportunity
- Client service professionals ready for more responsibility
This is primarily a work-from-home role with some local travel required for client meetings throughout the Boston North Shore area. Part-time or full-time arrangements may be possible for the right candidate.
This opportunity is only for someone serious about personal growth, professionalism, leadership, and helping clients properly over the long term.
