Description of Position:
The Business Development Account Manager is responsible for growing sales in markets showing promise. This individual will pursue new customers primarily through outbound phone prospecting. The duties and responsibilities of this job are as follows:
• Proactively get new customers via the phone.
• Make strategic cold calls to large volume prospects in industries such as industrial manufacturers, government, car care, athletic, healthcare, and colleges.
• Pursue leads with high volume potential.
• Follow up on targeted mailings to prospects.
• Pursue larger volume lost customers.
• Grow sales from existing book of business via the phone.
• Plan and implement sales strategies to attain aggressive sales growth goals.
ERC Wiping Products is a 97-year-old company located in Lynn, MA. We process and distribute hundreds of varieties of wiping materials to large, medium, and small businesses throughout North America. ERC supplies thousands of industrial, commercial, municipal, institutional, and service related customers. These customers span a wide variety of industries including manufacturers, bio-pharma, food processors, automotive, marine, educational institutions, athletic teams, healthcare, colleges/universities and hotel/hospitality.

ERC is looking for a confident, persistent, and self-motivated individual with a proven track record of sales success. The successful candidate must be willing to become educated about our products and markets, and focus their sales efforts by studying existing accounts and potential volume of prospects. Must be able to monitor competition by gathering current marketplace intelligence on pricing, products, and marketing techniques, and make appropriate recommendations to management. Must have a minimum of 4-6 years' experience in sales or account management. BS or BA required.
