Lynn Shelter Association provides shelter, supportive case management services and housing solutions to people experiencing homelessness in Greater Lynn. Our service are designed to foster self-sufficiency and a return to independent life as quickly as possible.

The Lynn Shelter Association is seeking full-time, part-time and relief Direct Care Workers, to assist with the day to day functions, in our Adult Emergency and Family Shelters.
The following positions are open:
Adult Emergency Shelter:
Relief (On call)
Friday 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am
Saturday and Sunday 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am
Relief (On call) Weekends & Awake Overnight
*Screen and admit guests in accordance with established policies and procedures
*Maintain safety and orderliness of the shelter
*Maintain daily logs and guest files
*Assist with food prep
*Light housekeeping duties, including laundry
*Perform various record keeping duties
*Attend scheduled staff meetings and agency trainings
*High school diploma/GED required
*Experience working with people from very diverse backgrounds
*Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
*Ability to work independently and relate to all levels of the organization
*Ability to implement and utilize limit setting techniques and appropriate boundaries
*Ability to speak, read and write English, bi-lingual preferred
*Must be flexible and willing to work evening and awake overnight shifts
*Ability to pass CORI/background check
