Full-Time, 35 hrs. per week. The Health/Nutrition Manager has the overall responsibility to ensure that health and nutrition services for young children are being provided. He/she will ensure that all early childhood health/nutrition standards are being met according to Office of Head Start and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (USDA) regulations. This position works as part of a program management team, supervises the health staff, connects with community health agencies and providers to ensure timeliness of services for children, and must work with families to engage them in advocating for their child’s health and nutritional well-being. The Health/Nutrition Manager must be organized, able to meet deadlines and must work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a health related field with certification or experience in public health, nutrition, nursing, health education, or child health. Experience working with children and families in a health or nutrition related field. Preferred: Registered Dietician or Nutritionist
Requirements: Proficient with technological systems such as Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and Outlook. Ability to work at a desk and computer terminal for extended periods of time. Must possess a valid MA driver’s license and be willing to travel between centers.
