EMARC is currently seeking a Driver for our Wakefield Day Program working 40 hours per week.
Candidates must be caring and patient drivers that will provide transportation for people with developmental disabilities to and from their day program. Drivers pick program participants up at their home and drop them off at the program location. You will get to know some great individuals as you help them to start and end their day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures the safe and punctual transportation of individuals to their vocational program/place of employment and to and from home.
Abides by all work rules and personnel policies.
Notifies Director of vehicle/equipment deficiencies and maintains cleanliness of assigned vehicles.
Provides assistance as needed to people supported when entering and leaving the vehicle.
Completes monthly vehicle maintenance/safety checklist and turns it in to the Manager.
High school diploma or GED or further education preferred.
At least 3 years driving experience with a clean driving record.
Experience working with families of individuals and professional service providers is preferred.
Valid MA Driver's license required.
Drug/alcohol test and physical exam required.
Acceptable CORI report, suitable driving record and clear fingerprinting results required.
