A beautiful rare, high-quality handmade vintage 12/11 hammered dulcimer built by Dennis Westerdorf, Oct. 28 – Nov. 12, 1981, designed by Bill Spence, parts by Green River Company.
Green River hammered dulcimers are known for their large, deep-bodied construction and rich, clear sound. These vintage instruments often feature exotic wood tops and are noted for a long string scale, which can make them feel tighter to play but rewarding in tone. While Bill Spence was a prominent figure in the 1970s dulcimer revival.
