90s Ludwig Acrolite Black Galaxy snare drum.
 If you are looking for a “collector“ grade specimen, this one isn’t it, simply because I use what I like professionally, and have made what I consider to be upgrades on the original. This drum is in gorgeous shape, but it would be considered “player grade” since it is not “all original”.
1. Replaced the original 2.3mm triple flange top hoop with a Pearl “Fat Tone” model. This type of hoop is lighter like the original (pre-Galaxy) Acrolite hoops (1.6mm), except the top edge rules inward for exceptional cross-stick sound.
2. Replaced the original P85 strainer with an upgraded Inde-designed P88. This strainer is superior; smooth, and the tension knob locks.
3. Replaced the original crappy snappy snare wires with Yamaha Carbon Fibre snares.
4. Obviously the heads new (see photos) & what I like.
