ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN – SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURING
$30–$35/hr | 2nd Shift or Weekend Shift | Long-Term Opportunity
2nd Shift has an additional 10% differential per hour
4th Shift has an addition 11% differential per hour
Position Overview
We are actively hiring hands-on Engineering Technicians to support advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This is an 18-month contract role with a possibility of going permanent position based on performance.
Position Details
• Job Title: Engineering Technician – Semiconductor Manufacturing
• Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00/hour (based on experience; shift differential not included)
• Contract Length: 18 months with conversion potential
• Shift Options:
– 2nd Shift: 3:45 PM – 2:15 AM
– 4th Shift: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
What You’ll Be Doing
• Assemble, build, test, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems
• Work with electronics, prototype models, and specialized test equipment
• Troubleshoot component-level and system-level electrical and mechanical issues
• Support new system installs, NPI activities, and field upgrades
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, and technical instructions
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on AMAT/VSE platforms
• Compile and maintain testing logs, procedures, and documentation
• Perform rework based on test results and support quality notifications
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts
Required Skills & Experience
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to work from unreleased schematics, drawings, and images
• Familiarity with electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes
• Ability to write clear and accurate technical documentation
Nice to Have:
• Experience with motion control systems (PMAC)
