We are looking for freelance 3D modelers specializing in 3D Studio Max modeling & texturing who are also proficient with scripting, looking for part time/ contract work, to generate 3D artwork for our broadcast, interactive and mobile virtual race replay applications in Wakefield, MA. Work at home is possible; however some office hours are required for team collaboration and meeting deadlines. Candidate must have their own computer, software, internet access, etc.
-Resides within 25 miles of company location and be available to work at the company location occasionally, as requested
-Associate's degree (advanced degree preferred) of art/technical trade school in modeling, CAD, or a related field
-5+ years' experience and proficiency with 3D Studio Max (Modeling, Texturing, Lighting) and scripting
-Experience building low-poly, real-time models of hard surfaces (as opposed to organic)
-Prior experience with 3D modeling for professional sports venues, game development, large scale architecture, and/or outdoor commercial landscapes desired
-Unity experience is preferred
-Excellent communication skills -- listening, verbal, and written
-Able to work independently with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time.
-Enthusiasm for entrepreneurial work environment focused on technology, media, and sports.
-Assist in the production and maintenance of 3D models and art assets for all Trakus 3D virtual race replay applications
- Manipulate and prepare models of horse racing racecourses from around the world including modeling trees, buildings, race surfaces, stands, people and other attributes using photos, Google maps
-Effectively communicate project status, progress, and challenges with project stakeholders
