T-174 – Dido: “Hand to heart Throughout the sea of time Love's gaze not faded”. There is no title or label but the Sid Dickens stamp is located on the back of this tile. Dido was the queen of Carthage and a character in Virgil’s Aeneid. Released 2006 Fall Carthage Collection. Retired 2010.
T-178 – The Kiss: “Tender is the offering of innocence born. Giving Freely; therein lies The Rosebud bloom of youth.” Title, label and Sid Dickens stamp are located on the back of this tile. Retired 2010.
Retired Sid Dickens wall art plaques sell for hundreds online. Memory Blocks are hand crafted plaster and hand finished to a porcelain-like quality, cracked to create an aged look and feel measuring 6"w x 8"h x 1 1/4"d, and weigh 3 lbs. Every tile is skillfully handmade in small batches by a team of artisans, therefore no two tiles are exactly the same. The back consists of wood with a hole for hanging and stamped logo.
