Solid wood construction with a thin veneer on the top, and two of the sides, the left and right.
Metal hardware. As pictured. It does have operable locking mechanisms, however, please note, there is no key for them. So if you wanted a key you would need to visit a locksmith. Aesthetically of course they're fine.
This is somewhat of an antique, so there are the usual marks and chips that come with age. Nothing particularly unusual. I'd recommend taking a look at it in person to decide if it's what you would like or not.
