This receiver has been restored not ruined by changing the capacitors in the audio path , which if you have ever heard that type of repair you know it makes it sound like a modern surround sound receiver with Chinese capacitors! Every part in this has been tested, anything that was out of spec was changed. This was a low hour receiver in the first place as you can see by the pictures. A couple of parts were a little out of spec and they were replaced. But it performs like a brand new unit. If you're wondering what the difference is between the 750 and the 780, this uses real power transistors for the output! 780 uses a giant integrated circuit which does sound good but this unit puts out a real 60 watts per channel before it even hits distortion. The distortion at 60 watts is .04% this is 50+ years old . It's gorgeous it does have a little bit of pioneeritis which is the plastic wrap on the case peeling and missing it has been colored in where it's missing it looks pretty good. But if you put it in a rack you're never going to see it. The front presents itself spectacularly! If you ever wanted a vintage pioneer this is a keeper. The price is cash only it comes with a 30-day warranty if you pay full price. But honestly it doesn't need a warranty I've been playing it for quite a while it's a fantastic unit. If you've been disappointed by something delivered by eBay and smashed or bounced around because the transformer was knocked loose and everything inside is now cracked this is not where this came from just came from a stash of receivers that I personally picked up and it has been serviced. From a local source that had been stored for many years in an attic. If you have records to play this is a fantastic unit for a phono and turntables.
