The ‘28’ is the baby boat in Morgan’s fleet of OutIslander’s built for the Caribbean charter trade. This USCG documented boat is of solid construction, three-quarter shoal draft keel with encapsulated ballast. Over recent years, this boat had many upgrades: replaced original Volvo diesel with a Beta 16, with approx. 300 hrs. When engine was replaced, also changed the cutlass bearing, and fuel tank. Boat has Rocna anchor/line. Thru hulls are bronze. All shrouds replaced, added Raymarine wheel pilot, furler, new genoa, Standard Horizon VHF/w Distress call. Fall 2024 dropped rudder, had maintenance work done and rudder ‘tube’ was replaced.
Accommodations are a V berth, 2 quarter berths, and the dining table area that converts to a double berth. Door separates head/forward cabin from galley/lounge area. Boat has holding tank, and electric flush toilet with Y valve. Galley has Origo 2 burner stove, pressurized water in galley and head sinks. Boat has multiple bilge pumps
Boat also has a Bimini cover and frame. Boat includes LifeSling rescue device. Various accessories (life jackets, bumpers, etc.), spare parts and some tools included.
The boat is now in Eliot, ME (near Portsmouth NH), was shrink-wrapped for winter, and is being prepped for the 2026 season launch
