Our prep program is an automated online program featuring thousands of practice questions across dozens of skills. We are looking for full-time TOEFL and IELTS test prep experts who will write exceptionally high-quality test questions, explanations, and lessons.

As part of PrepScholar, you'll use your teaching talent to educate students on a global scale. You'll craft realistic questions and compelling explanations that train students in the most effective strategies to speak, read, listen, and write in English. You'll join an exciting online education startup with a mission to improve education at scale through technology!

Your Responsibilities:

+ Craft high-quality TOEFL and IELTS questions and answer explanations. You'll write questions that rival the quality of real tests. Your explanations and examples will clearly guide a student through the right thinking process for answering questions and learning English.

+ Record teaching videos for explanations and lessons. As an enthusiastic educator, you'll engage with students through videos, showing them how to solve questions, speak and listen in English, and apply test strategies to conquer the TOEFL and IELTS.

+ Write engaging lessons for skills that teach students to read, write, speak, and listen in English.

+ Contribute to the pedagogical design of our education technology, with the goal of effectively teaching students to learn English as a second language.


+ BA/BS from a selective institution.

+ 95%-ile score on a standardized test (TOEFL, IELTS, SAT/ACT, GMAT/GRE, etc.) required.

+ Great teaching skills and teaching experience, particularly to non-native English speakers. You can break down learning the English language into clear, logical steps. You know what non-native speakers struggle with, and you've had practice in helping improve students' English language skills

+ Serious commitment and work drive. You always pull through and deliver and take pride in your work.

+ Highly desirable skills include: (1) Previous experience writing test prep questions. (2) Knowledge of test prep methods and previous experience tutoring. (3) Experience with other standardized tests (ACT/ACT, GRE, GMAT, etc.).

About the Position:

+ The position is full-time. For exceptional candidates, we are willing to consider part time at a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.

+ Salary is competitive with the industry, and we reward real skill and experience.

+ You'll have a high level of independence to direct your work.

+ Work can be on location in our Cambridge, MA (USA) office. We offer relocation assistance as part of the starting package. Work can also be done remotely.
