Helical Drilling, Inc. (HELICAL) employs multiple drilling crews in the New England area, each capable of performing multiple types of drilling related deep foundation projects.
Drilling is done for micro-piles, rock or soil anchors, tiebacks, soil nails, or similar type work. The driller is responsible for handling the drill to mobilize, set up on locations, drill in various (and often challenging) soil conditions all over New England, retract casing out of holes, get back on locations if needed, clean and maintain equipment each day, etc.
As a driller you may be required to assess problems and work to fix them if our mechanics cannot help in a timely fashion. Drillers also may be required to operate support equipment (loaders, excavators, skid steers, etc.) and assist with general labor if required.
Duties:
Communicate job site conditions with engineering staff
Ability to access soil conditions and problems to get the job done
Able to operate support equipment such as loaders, excavators, lulls, skid steers etc.
Assure all drilling functions include quality control and standard drilling methods according to project specs
Assure all safety measures are being taken by yourself and crew
Maintain Equipment Daily
Travel within the New England Area
Requirements:
Must have active drivers license and clean record
Must be able to pass a drug screen and DOT Medical Physical
Must be a US citizen and be able to read, write and speak English
Hoisting Licenses a Plus (we can provide)
OSHA 10 and or 30 a Plus (we can Provide)
