1 bedroom available in a spacious 3 bedroom apartment for the summer (6/1-8/31)

1 bedroom available in a spacious and comfortable 3-bedroom apartment for summer sublet. The apartment is located less than a mile from Harvard in the Inman Square area and features high ceilings with beautiful wood detailing, hardwood floors, a large living room, dining room, and large eat-in kitchen. A porch--great for morning coffee/tea--overlooks the street with a view of Perry Park. There is a dedicated washer and dryer for this unit in the basement, one floor below that are hooked up to the electricity meter for the apartment. The apartment also has central air and the landlord is responsible for the common spaces in the building and takes out the trash.

The available room is medium sized and is fully furnished; the rest of the apartment is fully furnished.

The apartment is located in the middle of what's known as "Flower Square" next to Inman and Kirkland Village (so named because of the colorfully painted flowers on the street)--and is a 15 minute walk to Harvard with easy bus/bike access to MIT, a short 2-3 minutes minute walk to Whole Foods and the bar, The Thirsty Scholar, and roughly ten minutes away from the Union Square extension on the Green Line. Two small parks (Perry and Lincoln) are located a short distance away and are lively on the weekends.

I am finishing up a PhD and enjoy good conversations, sharing coffee or a drink, and the occasional dinner party. I prefer to have common areas kept clean and maintain respect. The other roommate is a German postdoc who is leaving at the end of the summer to take up a position overseas.

The rent is $1200/month including utilities (gas/electricity/internet). There is also a security deposit of $500.

If interested, please write something about yourself and what you are looking for in an apartment.
