rent period: monthly
Hello ! Thanks for clicking on this post. We are listing a sublet for a bedroom in a 2-bed, 1-bath, 4th-floor walk-up apartment near the Washington Street B-line station in Brighton, MA. This sublet would begin June 1 and last until August 31. Rent is $1325 per month PER PERSON, and utilities typically hover around $50-60 per month per person (this includes electricity and gas, water is included in rent). Internet is another $35.

Please note: THE BEDROOM COMES UNFURNISHED, but the main living areas will be furnished. The bedroom is sizable with two large windows facing the street. You'll get lots of natural light in the morning (with some spectacular sunrise views). You can easily fit a full or queen size bed along with a desk, dresser, and bedside table. A window A/C unit will be included with the sublease. The bathroom for this unit is shared, but has ample storage with a tub and shower. The kitchen is also shared; it has a full fridge, lots of cabinetry, and a gas stove and oven (but no dishwasher). There is a HUGE living room and a four-seasons porch with table and chairs to sit on while you enjoy your morning coffee.

This sublet would be perfect for anyone starting work or school in the fall and wants to avoid as much of the September 1st moving chaos as they can, while also spending the summer to explore all that Boston has to offer. You can catch the B-line in less than 2 minutes' walk, or stroll down to the C-line in around 10. There's technically street parking, but it's almost always full, so no guarantees. The neighborhood is quiet and populated by both students and non-students alike. Conveniently, there is a Whole Foods and CVS less than a minute's walk away.

The other roommate in this apartment is a graduate student who will be working both from home and the office over the summer. She is willing and enthusiastic to show any first-time Bostonians around town, or compare notes on the best restaurants with any Boston locals. She'll also be happy to help move any furniture up the stairs to the unit.

As for lifestyle notes, this unit would work better for a subletter with a high standard for cleanliness and reasonable noise levels. We have some friends in the area that like to come over and watch movies, but we've never thrown big parties. We're open to any gender or age group for subletting. We especially encourage any other grad students or young professionals to contact us. If you think you'd feel at home in this space, please don't hesitate to reach out !
