Hello Friends.
I am looking for up to three roommates as of January 1st. My current roommates are worthless trashbags who haven't paid rent since September. So they are probably going to be kicked out. But the landlord is a decent guy and is letting me stay. But I do need to find people to fill the extra rooms.
The building is in south Cambridge.
There are three supermarkets within a 15 minute walk, and three more within a 15 bike ride or 30 minute walk. These include, Korean, Whole Foods, Russian and Chinese.
It is located near several universities.
25 minute bike ride to North Eastern. 30 bus ride, 1/2 block from route 47 stop.
20-40 walk to MIT depending on what part of campus you are going to
25-35 walk to Boston University
Harvard is maybe a 20 bike ride. I don't go that way too often these days.
15 minute walk to Central station.
No laundry in building, but there is a laundromat three doors down.
I am 39, non-binary. I don't drink, smoke or play loud music. I normally just spend time in my bedroom, fiddling about on my computer or doing hobbies. I have ADHD, my room is a mess, but I keep the mess in my room and pick up after myself in the common areas.
I don't need perfect roommates. I'm looking for people who are reasonably quiet, reasonably tidy and will pay rent and utilities on time. Rent is $937 and I ask a flat $70 a month for utilities. It's just easier than calculating the real number each month and the actual average is a bit above $70.
The trashbag roommates have kind of ruined the common areas. No damage, just crap everywhere, so I don't want to post pictures, because they will be unimpressive. If you are interested I can send a video I took before moving in. I walked through the whole place.
Pets are okayish. The landlord and other roomates have to be okay with the pets. I've lived with a cat in this apartment before and that was fine. I grew up with dogs, so I can live with dogs, but I don't love living with dogs.
