We're looking for a roommate to move in on May 17 and live with us in our 3-BR apartment in the Oak Square neighborhood in Brighton. The rent is $880 plus gas, electric, and internet utilities (which usually total between $80- $250 per month). This is an even split between all three roommates. Move-in costs would require the first month, the last month, and a security deposit ($880 as well).
About the apartment: This is a well-maintained 2nd-floor apartment (one bedroom takes up the entirety of a third floor) with a living room, dining room, standard kitchen with available dishwasher, and laundry washer/dryer. (Our landlady lives on the first floor of the house.) We also have a recently renovated bathroom. We don't do the cable TV thing, but it is the 21st century, so naturally we have high-speed internet as aforementioned. We have a rigid cleaning schedule to keep things nice, with everyone rotating turns handling the kitchen and bathroom weekly.
About your room: Your bedroom is on the main second floor of the house, measures approximately 11' by 10', and includes a closet with a door, an ethernet hookup (Wi-Fi available as well), and two windows.
About you:
Mature, full-time employed adult (any gender) who doesn’t work from home more the 1 or 2 days a week.
We are looking for a non-smoking cigarettes or 420.
We don't mind you having company as long as it isn't a constant occurrence and generally like to keep things relatively quiet and low-key around here.
This is not a party house
Students are OK too, assuming you have a reliable income.
About the neighborhood: The community is mostly families, young couples, and bachelors who keep quiet most of the time. Street parking is barely restricted at all (permit required on days of Boston College football games, and that's it) and usually easy to find. We're a short walk away from lots of great amenities, including the Oak Square YMCA, gas station, liquor store, juicery, Dunkin Donuts, 7-11, a few bars and many multi-ethnic restaurants, while deep enough within the neighborhood to have a nice distance from the main street bustle.
