-As the Headquarters Platoon Commander, responsible for the morale, welfare, and readiness of 65 Marines from different military occupational specialties such as communications, motor-transport, fire direction, wire, ammunition tech, scout observer, and navy corpsman.
-As a forward observer, attached to a tank company and an infantry battalion in the initial invasion of Iraq in 2003, advised the company commander as to the employment of artillery, mortars, and air.
