I am selling an amazing set. To be honest I have never ever seen such an advanced and complete set for sale.
Set includes:
- Eclair ACL Super16 Camera Body - I am not an expert so not sure if it is one of very few factory-modified Super16 cameras or it was converted by someone, but the work is exceptional - gate corners are perfectly even, shutter blade is also super precise, absolutely no issue with flickering in the upper right corner as some of the converted cameras had. Also - Ground glass seems to be original S16 1.66, absolutely not home-made pencilled one! Camera runs very smooth and silent on all speeds. Mirror is in great condition.I converted the power input socket from a very old 4 pin Jaeger connector to a modern, widely available, cheaper yet still very reliable GX12-3 socket. Conversion did not require any modification of the body, just resoldering. Camera has a very well made Aaton Mount, super stiff. In addition I include an Aaton to Arri B adapter. So you can mount any Arri Bayonet lens - those are the most popular mount for 16mm lenses. Also Arri B lenses are often cheaper than PL Mount ones. (PL Mount 16mm lenses are often just using adaptor from Arri B to PL ;). Additionally Aaton -> Nikon Adapter. Original rear Film Throat Cap and front Lens Cap included.
- Eclair Heavy Duty Motor Converted by AZ Spectrum to run 2-75 fps Crystal. This item is ultra rare. It allows you to choose your desired FPS anywhere between 2 and 75 fps using a dial on the back of the motor. Note that original Heavy-Duty motors allowed only to choose 4 fixed speeds). What is more it also has a 11 pin Fisher port on the side - the same one Arri SR1 and SR2 had for plugging in accessories like Variable Speed Unit for smooth FPS ramping. However I have no VSU neither Users Manual for the motor, so i am not 100% sure. But Reaching out to Andrew Zurawski will clarify the use of the port. Motor runs the camera on all speeds with no problem, however I have no powerful enough battery to run it at 75 fps with a loaded magazine at this time, but I run a 75 fps test in the summer successfully. 50 FPS is no problem on a larger V-lock.
