A Boston-area university is currently looking to hire a Data Entry Specialist to work on an upcoming project. Located in Cambridge, our client is a world-renowned university known for academic excellence. Although this university does groundbreaking research across all fields, the Data Entry Specialist will be interfacing with just one professor and their team.

Position Overview: The Data Entry Specialist will be a temporary role for the duration of the assigned project which is expected to last approximately three weeks. In addition to inputting information, the Data Entry Specialist will also handle some light administrative work as needed. Although typing speed is essential, accuracy and attention to detail are the most important requirements for this position.

Responsibilities of the Data Entry Specialist:
• Preparing, compiling, and sorting documents
• Verifying data where necessary to ensure absolute correctness
• Maintaining confidentiality regarding all proprietary documents handled
• General filing and organization of paperwork after successfully entering information into the system
• Checking completed work for accuracy
• Complying with data integrity and security policies

Qualifications for the ideal Data Entry Specialist:
• Immediate availability
• Aptitude for speed and accuracy when typing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Sound understanding of grammar, punctuation, and correct spelling
• The ability to shift between multiple tasks
• Interpersonal skills and comfortability interacting with members of the team
• Previous experience with data entry

Education Requirements:
• Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
