ALS Therapy Development Institute has an immediate opening for Clinical and Data Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Operations and Executive Administrative Assistant, the Clinical and Data Coordinator at ALS TDI is an integral part of the PMP program. This position is responsible for verifying the quality of the data from the PMP programs and will work in a collaborative manner with the science group in analyzing data and will provide administrative support to Clinical team.
-Collaborate with members of the research team to characterize the function and sensitivity of the actigraph data.
-Analyze data and collaborate with team to better understand ALS epidemiology
-Track and communicate progress by gathering data and compiling reports
-Extract and validate data exported from devices in a timely manner
-Compiles reports as requested from data submission
-Follow up on issues with data reporting from participants
-Schedule appointment with prospective participants to complete enrollment questionnaires with patients in the PMP program via phone and email
-Assist participants to update their data in the portal
-Provide routine admin support copying, faxing organizing, filing and distributing documents and reports as needed
-A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, Master's degree preferred.
-1+ years of experience with data mining
-Strong PC skills. Expert in MS Word and Excel. Fluent in Access and PowerPoint Golden Helix
-Experience with customer service or patient relations required
-Strong English written and oral communication skills required
-Excellent organizational skills needed
-Incumbent must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Adept at problem solving and using judgment in situations requiring independent initiative and tact is necessary
-Coordinator will need a confirmed ability to set priorities but remain flexible, juggle several activities calmly and efficiently and quickly analyze, investigate and resolve specific problems
-A track record of working under pressure and within deadlines, while maintaining a sense of humor
-Persistence in tracking down individuals and/or needed information; an interest in working with bio pharma/drug development issues associate with scientific research.
-Can independently draft clear communications e.g. reports, memos, agenda, minutes
-Highly ethical and able to maintain confidential information
