Coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of student residential life, including supervision and training of residential staff and scheduling work assignments; attend to the direct care, medical and behavioral needs of students in the residence; provides educational instruction; coordinates the development of systems to ensure the safety, security, health and welfare of students in residence.
Can clearly and concisely define and present job responsibilities and program goals to others.
Actively participates in program and campus wide projects and activities.
Demonstrates an understanding of the general curriculum as well as the expanded core curriculum (ECC).
Provides supervisory leadership to enable staff to perform well.
Participates in residential staff interviewing and hiring.
Provides Individual Education Plan (IEP) based instruction and direct care to students.
Develops and oversees implementation of IEP goals, objectives and strategies.
Provides two asleep overnight shifts.
Responds to emergencies during overnight coverage.

High School Diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred with three (3) year experience working with special needs children or an equivalent combination of education and experience; First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED); Crisis Prevention and Physical Intervention (CPPI) required; Sign Language (dependent on program needs); valid driver license and willingness to drive school vehicles including chair cars; ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
