DESCRIPTION: Responsible for coordinating placement services for individuals on assigned caseload, including developing individualized placement plans, coordinating job application process and serving as intermediary between case management and placement outreach services.
Coordinate job search and placement activities for individuals in CWS placement services; develop individual placement plans based on participant input, skills, interests and needs; monitor and follow-up with participants to enable them to find and retain employment
Search for appropriate placements for assigned individuals through cold calls, contacting existing employers, and other networking opportunities
Assist participants with researching and accessing needed services including additional job training, educational supports, counseling, housing, medical services and other support services
Provide/assist with coordination of job coaching and follow-up retention services for participants working competitively; perform follow-up calls and visits to employers to ensure high level of employer satisfaction
Conduct tours of CWS for potential participants as well as prospective employer partners
Maintain manual and computerized participant records and spreadsheets; complete required documentation and reporting including CWS (ETO) database input with timeliness and accuracy
Provide performance analysis of the assigned caseload to leadership, as required
Participate in services planning including coordinating service provision with case management team and referring agencies, including conducting case conferences, as needed
Generate and maintain partnerships with businesses to allow for ongoing job/internship placement of job seeking participants and to meet the needs of employers
Act as point person between stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with services provided
Maximize opportunities to market all aspects of CWS (programming, graduates, catering, packaging and assembly, commercial cleaning); plan and coordinate onsite recruitment opportunities as appropriate
Represent placement team in organizational and contract agency meetings
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's level in Vocational Rehabilitation, Counseling, Social Work, or other relevant area, with at least 1 year of experience in a human service/community-based setting.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in and/or ability to demonstrate commitment to nonprofit work targeting economically disadvantaged populations: youth, homeless, elderly, ex-offenders, low wage earners, individuals with disabilities, working families, un/underemployed, and hard-to-place individuals, highly preferred
High attention to detail, exceptional time management skills, and strong organization skills
Ability to analyze situations, anticipate and/or detect problems, and provide solutions
Aptitude to manage time and tasks efficiently with little supervision
Ability to think creatively and to connect meeting business needs and social service goals
Results-driven personality with the ability to work well with team members
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools
Bilingual (English-Spanish) a plus
Familiarity with Boston area businesses, providers, and resources required
