GENERAL FUNCTIONS: To assist in the supervision of all activities of the Commercial Production Department. To insure that quality work is produced in a timely fashion within the rehabilitation framework.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONBILITIES:

Responsible for the evaluation/training of participants assigned to his/her unit in various tasks including but not limited to the following:
Collating, folding, inserting, and proper handling of "time sensitive orders/ materials
Packaging tasks
Proper materials handling/ storage
Operation of small equipment and light assembly
Responsible for overseeing the unloading and loading of pallets using a manual pallet jack
Responsible for the safety of the workers in his/her area, and reports all safety concerns immediately.
Reports to the Manager of Work Center Operations or appropriate Case Manager matters of worker programs and problems.
Participates in monthly departmental meetings.
Determine when workers in his/her Unit have reached employable standards in their work skills and behaviors and refer appropriate candidates for job placement assistance.
Participate in worker review meetings.
Maintain work area in neat, orderly, and safe manner, conducive to producing quality work. Immediately reports all quality control and production issues to Manager of Work Center Operations.
Has input into the process leading to decisions affecting his/ her responsibilities such as the establishment of program goals/ objectives and program development and evaluation.
Prepares accurate and timely verbal and written reports to Case Managers on participant training progress and hands on skills and work behaviors; participates in case conference as needed.
Responsible for recording and entering time and attendance into payroll systems.
Responsible for the supervision and development of staff assigned to his/her unit.
Able to perform light maintenance and repair of equipment
Other duties as assigned




Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Candidate must have a valid Driver's License. Must possess advanced material and product knowledge and the ability to effectively train communicate with staff on quality control. Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing situations, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. Excellent customer service skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school Diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Educational requirements may be substituted for five years' experience in working with individuals with disabilities.
