Greater Waltham Arc (GWArc) seeks an Assistant Director of the ECB Program to support the program director in implementing the agency's new strategic plan and annual operations. S/he will maintain oversight of the Group Supported Employment (in four local area universities) includes liaison to those schools' staffs and GWArc employees in already established food service and maintenance sites. S/he is responsible for coordinating staffing at the sites, including direct coverage if needed. Outreach to area businesses seeking appropriate work sites and develops and maintains ongoing positive relationships with host companies and funding sources (Dept. of Developmental Disabilities and Mass Rehab Commission).The position includes assistance to the GWArc participants in work readiness and may include training and oversight in new employment positions as well as travel training. GWArc promotes independence, participant choice and community inclusion for those we support.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in related field, and 3-5 years in managerial responsibilities and community employment services to the i/dd population. Supervision experience required. Excellent organizational, communication and coordination skills. Ability to effectively develop relationships with a wide range of employers and with person with challenges.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to multi task and to prepare and update reports on computer. Driver's license and car. Experience in customer relations required. Commitment to GWArc's mission & goals especially the concept of community inclusion, consumer choice and self-determination. Computer literate. Professional appearance and presentation a must.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with - benefits include 75% employer paid health /dental insurance, 11 paid holidays, staff trainings and tuition reimbursement
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hrs (8-4p). Flexible schedule includes some evening hours.
