Clinical Director - AS Residential - Women's Residence - New Day

Requisition #7172 Clinical Director - AS Residential - Women's Residence - New Day (Women's Residence - New Day, Somerville) Schedule: Monday Through Friday Salary: TBD

  • Plan, organize and carry out general clinical management duties on the unit.
  • Orient, instruct and supervise clinical staff.
  • Perform duties of direct clinical staff as required.
  • Review and interpret work performance of clinical staff against accepted standards and job descriptions.
  • Review and evaluate patients' clinical records including treatment plans, counseling and case management progress notes, psychosocial assessments and signed consent forms.
  • Assure that patients have a clean, comfortable and safe environment.
  • Evaluate and assess social, psychological and motivational needs of the patient.
  • Make independent decisions regarding counseling and case management practice.
  • Evaluate emergencies to determine emergency measures necessary, keep program director notified and complete incident reports.
  • Master's Mental Health Substance Abuse or Social Work with licensing in MA.
  • Two years supervisory experience in direct clinical supervision of staff.
  • Certificate in substance abuse treatment preferred.
  • Two years experience in substance abuse or mental health setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of dual diagnosis and treatment resources available in the substance abuse and mental health fields.
  • Demonstrated documentation and communication skills.
  • Driving License Required? Yes
