This is a 1987 Marshall JCM 800 2204 head, it started life as a 4010 combo amp and was converted into a head for me by Marco at Nomad Cabinets in Peabody (highly recommend!)
This is a killer sounding amp and looks the part too. The circuit is mostly stock with no major modulations, but one of the bright caps is a lower value, so it still has the Marshall kerrang, but isn’t ice picky in the highs.
This amp just came back from a service and clean bill of health from the venerable Stan Day in Wilmington, what an amazing amp tech and down to earth guy he is. I had Stan make sure everything was cleaned, healthy and in good working order, and to ensure that the two aftermarket mods (FX Loop and Attenuator knob) were done professionally and also in healthy working order.
