1997 Collings D1A. Adirondack spruce top, Hunduran mahogany back and sides, tortoise binding, ebony fretboard, K&K pure mini pick up installed. Calton flight case included, I believe it's from the early 00's.
Pains me to sell this guitar but here we are. It sounds absolutely magical, as you'd probably expect from a Collings that's been played and loved for a quarter century. Look closely at the pictures and feel free to reach out with any questions.
This guitar has been played a lot, I believe I'm the second owner but I'm not 100% sure. If you're looking for a museum-mint condition guitar to look at on the wall please move along. If you're interested in getting a legendary guitar from a legendary builder that's been played and loved and sounds absoultely incredible this is your guitar.
You may think that this guitar has had a Gibson-style headstock repair due to the line across the back of the neck. I assure you this is not the case. The discoloration at the top of the head stock is also present down by the heel, and is the result of finish wear from PLAYING the guitar A LOT. imperceptible by feel, but visible.
The only other cosmetic things are a worn spot on the top of the lower bought, and some dings at the bottom of the headstock probably from a capo, and some wear from a clip-on tunrer on the back of the headstock. nothing visible on front. all shown in pics.
