This is a classic Emu Proteus 1 that I have owned since I bought it new in 1991. It has always been in a rack and sounds/works exactly as it should. These things still sound great and are quite relevant for playing and making music of all kinds. The model 1 is from the "Pop/Rock" library and has everything from keyboards to drums to synths, horns and electric/acoustic stringed instruments PLUS many orchestral elements. (For reference, the Proteus 2 is Orchestral Instruments only).
6 individually assignable polyphonic 1/4" outputs that you can split out for separate processing, etc. It can also be used in basic Stereo or Mono output if you prefer. MIDI In, Out and Thru jacks.
So many options and sounds that I can't list them all. The manual is easily available online, so feel free to check it out for the multitude of sounds and ways that this unit can be used in many setups and situations.
