1968 Vintage Ludwig 14" x 20" Bass Drum Shell Champagne Keystone Badge - $180 (Arlington)

Vintage Ludwig Classic 14" x 20" bass drum shell in original "Sparkling Pink Champagne Pearl", with small keystone badge number 648285 circa 1968.

It has a 3-ply shell with clear over maple interior and was set up with a later style raised triangle mounting plate in the top center, and the only extra holes are a small cluster of 4 on the bottom side from a previous aftermarket bracket that held it in place as part of a double bass "Rock Duo" kit as shown in the 1967 Ludwig catalog.

The finish has some discoloration and crazing on the bottom side as shown, but looks fine in playing position.

It would work great added to an existing set to make a double bass kit, or could be the basis for a 20-12-14 Downbeat set.

Also available: 14" x 22" shell (pre-serial, 1961) in champagne sparkle, 14" x 20" oyster black pearl (1969).

Various hoops and a limited selection of parts and mounting hardware are also available as extras.
