compensation: TBD
employment type: part-time

My grandfather, a distinguished writer and intellectual, needs someone to take him around to tour Boston museums.

He is 90 (some days it seems as if he were 60 other days as if he were 120, but it is a joy that he is still alive!) and a bit of an irascible character, but a charmer in the end.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is fun, cheery, energetic, and compassionate / understanding... and did I mention brilliant and funny? OK, so how about 1/2 of this list... think of Mary Poppins for the geriatric set with a Masters/PhD in art history!

The gig is sporadic and needs to be in the 11am-4pm window... could be weekends but I am looking for fun for him during the week too. He has nurse/caregiver with him (wheelchair help) so this is NOT about nursing care, but rather about intellectual stimulation (he was quite the artist in his day).

Typical gig day would be meet in Cambridge, go with him and nurse to MFA tour for an hour, have lunch, talk about it all, return to Cambridge... so 3 hours...

Pay should be generous, you help me define what that is.

Email me your cv and a paragraph as to why you would be fun and interesting for my brilliant and aged grandfather to hire.

Thanks.
