OFFSITE is an experiential events agency specializing in cocktails, spirits, and bartender education. Our offices are located in Somerville, MA, but we produce events all across North America. As the Graphic Design Intern, you'll assist our Graphic Designer with the design and creation of the visual assets needed for our events from conception through to production. Our company is small, so everyone on the team wears multiple hats and helps with many parts of our events. You'll leave with a strong sense of what it's like to work with clients both big and small. This internship will also include occasional training and education on the cocktail and spirits world, for context of course!

In Fall 2018 you can expect to be working on:
The Boston Oyster Bash.
The International Cocktail Karaoke Championship in Mexico.
The lead-up to our annual conference, Thirst Boston.
Multiple private and charity events in and around Boston.
End of Year Reports and 2019 Proposals.

Job responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
Creative brainstorming for event flow and decor
Researching vendors for various items (bags, hats, stickers, pins, signs, etc.)
Working with Designed on logo design and look/feel for new or upcoming events
Working with the Events team to create physical collateral for event production and promotion.

Job Requirements include:
Applicant must be 21+ and should be currently enrolled in a degree program. This job is not intended for freelance opportunities.
Attention to detail is crucial, punctuality is highly valued and communication is #1.
Experience in the hospitality industry is not required, but strongly encouraged.
Must be proficient in google docs, sheets and slides (or Microsoft analogues)
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator is a must.
Must have excellent email and phone decorum.
Attention to detail is crucial, punctuality is highly valued and communication is #1.
This internship will be 2-3 days a week depending on schedule of applicant
Coordinating with printers to ensure quality of final products.

At the end of this internship you will have:
Experience taking a design from concept through to production.
A practical knowledge of asset handling and pre-production techniques.
A portfolio of physical items including signs, banners, websites, wearables, etc. that feature the art that you have worked on.
